12 teams into the final round of Chipiku League

Twelve teams have qualified into the final round of the K19.8 million Chipiku Premier League 2024 season.

The central region league had 24 teams and they were divided into three groups with eight teams in each group. The top four teams in every group automatically qualified in the final phase.

These teams will compete for the elite league slot after playing on league basis in the final phase.

These teams are Blue Eagles FC, St. Gabriel Zitha FC, Panthers FC, Wimbe United FC, Mitundu Baptist FC, Airborne Rangers FC, Ekas Freight Wanderers FC, Extreme FC, Chatoloma Admarc, Chisomo Academy FC, Armour Battalion, Mbabzi United FC and Villa FC.

The 2024 FDH Bank Cup Champions Blue Eagles have finished on the top in their group with 34 points from14 games, Wimbe came second with 27 points but they are remaining with a single game.

Chatoloma Admarc is on third  position with Chisomo Football Academy fourth but they will not make it to the final stage as Armour Battalion has a game to play, if they win against Wimbe they will qualify.

St. Gabriel Medical Zitha finished on the top in group A with 30 points, Villa FC came on second with 25 points, Extreme FC finished on third with 24 points and Mbadzi United on fourth with 22 points.

In group B, Panthers FC lead the group with 25 points, Mitundu Baptist on position two with 24 points, on position three there is Airborne Rangers with 22 points and Ekas Freight Wanderers with 21 points.

All 24 teams have played 14 games except Wimbe and Armour Battalion who have a game to play.

Silver Strikers Reserve has failed to qualify into the final phase of the league. Other teams are Santhe ADMARC, Mchinji Boma Strikers FC, Simbi FC, Dzaleka Future FC, Dwangwa United FC, LUANAR FC and Ntcheu Warriors FC.

The relegated teams in Chipiku Premier League are Dedza Young Soccer, Kasungu United and Kamuzu Barracks Reserve, these teams will be playing in the FAM Moto Division League next season.
