Flames striker Khuda Myaba has returned to South Africa where he has penned a lucrative five months deal with Dstv Premiership side Richards Bay.
Myaba who on November 3 terminated his contract with Tishreen FC of Syria has stayed two and half months without a team.
Speaking to Wa Ganyu at Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe yesterday, Myaba said three teams approached him for an outright deal but settled for Richards Bay.
His contract with Richards Bay will run from February 1st to June 30, 2024 and there is no option to extend the deal saying two parties will make a fresh discussion if the club wants to extend his stay in Durban.
In the contract which we have seen, Myaba will be getting R70 000 salary which is around K6.6 million and R150 000 as signing on fees which is around K14 million.
“I am happy that I have made an agreement with Richards Bay, I will deliver, and I promise that people will see goals,” he said.
Among teams which offered Myaba a deal was Clube Ferroviário da Beira of Mozambique but he turned it down.
“I have three offers and have stayed almost two weeks as I was weighing on which deal to sign. After careful consternation I have settled for this team,” he added.
Myaba was in South Africa back in the 2021/22 season with Polokwane City but terminated his contract
