Wa Ganyu can confirm that MBC will not beam Pamtsetse Football Bonanza today from Bingu National Stadium after sports Minister Richard Chimwendo Banda has advised the state broadaster to cancel the arrangement after consultation with the organisers.

The games were supposed to be live on MBC TV and the station had already identified sponsors for the live broadcasts.

But our source has told us that Chimwendo Banda issued instructions that the games should not be beamed on TV so that organisers should maximise revenue.

Organisers believe that if the games are beamed live, attendance will be poor hence not making enough money as targeted.

This means no TV will cover the match live only radio stations will be allowed to do so.

Organisers have projected to raise about K50 million from the bonanza.
