WA GANYU
As if the departure of Nickson Nyasulu’s was not enough, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets has suffered another setback, and this time it is their captain himself who has declined to sign a new contract.
Wa Ganyu has information that captain Gomezgani Chirwa, has left Malawi for Zimbabwe where he has been invited to attend trials.
Our understanding is that Chirwa had made an agreement with his club Bullets last week in a deal which pleased both parties.
“Towards the end of the season last year, Gome had asked Bullets officials to adjust his salary in the new deal which Bullets did, figures not known yet.
“Gome had agreed to the new salary and he was set to sign a deal on Tuesday. He, in fact, called some Bullets officials that he will sign for a new deal,” said the source.
However, on Tuesday, Gome was nowhere to be seen.
Yesterday morning, Wa Ganyu saw Gome at Wenela Bus Station in Blantyre and later he boarded a bus going to Zimbabwe.
Gome is still contracted to Bullets but his contract is remaining with just months.
Last week another Bullets defender Nickson Nyasulu, their player of the season, also refused to sign a new deal with Bullets and left the country for Zimbabwe where he is on trial with Platinum FC.
