FCB Nyasa Big Bullets is expected to announce a loan extension with Venda FC striker Babatunde Adepoju after agreeing terms.
Following the expiry of the one year (2024) loan deal with Bullets, Babatunde was expected to return to South Africa in the second week of January 2025.
Meanwhile, Bullets had requested Venda, who seemed hesitant, to extend the loan deal.
A week later, Venda gave in, but provided tougher conditions which among others hinge on Babatunde’s wage bill.
Babatunde gets around K8 million from Venda, a salary beyond the reach of many Malawian teams.
Bullets’ first attempt failed to convince the Nigerian striker a move which opened doors for other bidders.
Wanderers came second to get the player back to Lali Libani road. Last week, it was so close that Babatunde would return to Wanderers.
While discussions were in progress, Creck Sporting presented their offer, it was not that much but had better odds.
On Sunday, Bullets came again with a deal which no team has so far dared to match.
Today, Babatunde is convinced and ready to sign for a loan extension deal with Bullets.
