Zambia Super League side, Mufulira Wanderers has finally accepted Emmanuel Saviel’s request to leave the club on a season-long loan.
Saviel made the request due to lack of game time which has affected his performance.
Since arrival from FCB Nyasa Big Bullets via Civil Service United in July last year, Saviel only played 12 games, starting three. He signed a three year deal with the Zambian Wanderers.
Where next?
Two clubs in Malawi approached Saviel to have him on loan. First was Mighty Wanderers before their sister club, Ekhaya expressed interest.
The Zambia side had put two options for any team interested to sign him.
Conditions: The interested team should be able to pay Saviel his K1.5 million salary and pay Mufulira USD 3,000.
Both Ekhaya and Mighty Wanderers were negotiating with Mufulira.
The conditions were reluctantly reduced to just paying the player his full salary and USD1,750 to Mufulira which Ekhaya has agreed.
So, Saviel is finally released and will be in Malawi on Monday via Chileka International Airport next week to sign for Ekhaya.
