Kamuzu Barracks general secretary Albert Midian has confirmed that the team will be using the Champion Stadium in Mponela, Dowa district as their home ground during the 2025 football season.

Midian explained that the decision to move to Mponela was driven by the quality of the Champion Stadium and the enthusiastic support of the local community for football matches.

“We are aware that there are specific procedures to follow, and at the moment, these procedures are in place to ensure everything runs smoothly,” said Midian.

KB has previously used the Civo Stadium in Lilongwe and Dedza ground in Dedza as their home grounds. However, Midian stated that once all formalities are concluded, the team will write the Super League of Malawi (Sulom).

Owned by Msayiwale Kabvina, the 5 000 capacity stadium will host a friendly match today between Kamuzu Barracks and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.
