Ekhaya FC 2-0 Mighty Tigers

Mighty Tigers technical director Robin Alufandika has expressed disappointment with his team’s performance in their TNM League opener, where they lost 2-0 to newly promoted Ekhaya FC.

Alufandika attributed the loss to his team’s lack of motivation and injuries to key players.

The boys were disappointing, and it seemed like they didn’t want to fight for the win. However, we need to move forward and improve,” he said.

Alufandika revealed that his team has been plagued by injuries, including three key forwards who were unavailable for the match. Despite this setback, he remains optimistic about his team’s prospects in the upcoming matches.

This season has started with injuries, and today we were without three key forwards. However, we will bounce back and do better in the coming days,” he added.

The match saw Ekhaya’s Lovemore Mbeta score the opening goal in the 40th minute, assisted by Emmanuel Saviel Jnr before he netted his goal to seal the win with a goal in the 95 minutes—giving the rookies a convincing 2-0 victory. Mbeta was voted man of the match.
