Aubrey Siyasiya, 21, from Goliati in Thyolo District is in a cell at Blantyre Police Station for being found selling valid tickets outside designated areas.

Siyasiya was arrested on Saturday during the match between Ekhaya FC and Mighty Tigers.

A Police officer has tipped Wa Ganyu in Blantyre: “It was towards the end of the first half when we received news that a man is selling tickets. We apprehended him, and indeed, he was selling valid tickets.”

We found him with six tickets but he had already sold a good number of tickets.”

The police officer said Siyasiya is implicating an official from Ekhaya FC.

“He told us that an official from Ekhaya gave him those tickets to sell. We are still keeping him so that he should identify the official. Surely, we will arrest that official,” he said.

The match, which attracted a sizable crowd, ended 2-0 in favour of Ekhaya FC.
