We gave Bullets too much respect—Kamwendo

Bullets 4-1 Creck

Creck Sporting Club head coach Joseph Kamwendo has said their defeat today was because his boys gave host FCB Nyasa Big Bullets too much respect.

Creck lost the match 4-1 with Bullets scoring from Wongani Lungu, Babatunde Adepoju, Chikumbutso Salima and Yamikani Mologeni while Creck scored a consolation goal from Kondwani Chilembwe.

Kamwendo accepted defeat: “We have to accept the defeat, we didn’t create enough chances. Bullets deserve to win the match, congratulations to them.”

He added: “The boys have been away for 6/7 days, but that is not an excuse, we believe we will win our next game. Pulani yathu sidagwire. No need to panic, we still have time to fix our problems.”

Bullets coach Peter Mponda has warned against complacency after his team’s victory at Kamuzu Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Mponda emphasized that it’s too early to talk about winning the league, citing that his team has only played two games.

“We can’t say we are going to win the league after just two games. We need to take it one game at a time. Right now, we are focusing on our next match against Songwe,” said Mponda.
