The battle for glory in the 2025 FDH Bank Cup is heating up, with seven teams now confirmed in the quarterfinal stage after an action—packed weekend.

Defending champions Blue Eagles remain firmly in contention to protect their crown, while Mighty Wanderers, Silver Strikers and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have also lived up to their billing as tournament heavyweights.

They are joined by Creck Sporting Club, Mchinji Villa and Civil Service United—leaving only one slot up for grabs in the prestigious last eight.

On Sunday, September 21, saw fans treated to a goal—filled encounter as Mchinji Villa outshined Chatoloma Admarc 4-2 at Mchinji Community Ground.

The standout performer was Kelvin Mustafa, who netted a hat-trick with goals in the 18th, 77th and 79th minute. Teammate Dave Juwao added to the tally deep in first-half stoppage time.

Despite the defeat, Chatoloma Admarc showed resilience, finding the back of the net through Henry Kaunda in the 16th minute and Patrick Martin, who converted a penalty on the hour mark.

Elsewhere, Civil Service United booked their quarterfinal ticket with a narrow 1-0 win over Red Lions, thanks to a decisive 57th-minute strike from Chikaiko Batison.

On Saturday, Bullets knocked The Boyz 3-0, with goals from Blessings Mpokera (41’), Mike Mkwate (43’) and Chikumbutso Salima (74’).
