Silver Strikers 2-1 Creck SC

Creck Sporting Club head coach, Elia Kananji says his team was forced to play Silver Strikers saying his players had not rested.

The team had asked the Super League of Malawi (SULOM) to schedule their match against the Central Bankers, but their request was rejected.

Creck Sporting Club played on Sunday in the FDH Bank Cup quarterfinal against Mighty Wanderers at Aubrey Dimba Ground and a day later they played Silver Strikers.

“Basi tingovomereza mmene a SULOM anaperekera palibe chomwe tingachite, kwa ife kunali kungokwaniritsa chifukwa osewera anga sadapume ndiye tidakakamiza ena kuti asewerebe ngakhale adali ovulala,” said Kananji.

At Sliver Stadium, the visitors lost 2-1 though the match had both sides having chances to win game.

Emmanuel Allan scored from the spot in the 22nd minute for Bankers but it was level 20 minutes later via Patrick Mupanzi. Uchizi Vunga scored the winner in the 78th minute.
