Wa Ganyu Here To Confirm
On Saturday, March 15, 2026 Mighty Wanderers announced the signing of centre back Alex Kambilinya from a relegated side Mighty Tigers. Kambilinya signed a three year deal with Nomads.
Following his signing, a lot has been said on how the player found himself at Wanderers. Bought by Ekhaya FC. Money refunded by Silver Strikers only him to join Wanderers, how it happened? Wa Ganyu with details. More details also in today’s Wa Ganyu Podcast at 6.30 live on Facebook and Youtube channels.
Wa Ganyu has details that Ekhaya paid Mighty Tigers FC K36 million for two players; Alex Kambilinya and goalkeeper Lucky Tizolah transfer.
We understand defender Kambilinya was pegged at K17 million and K19 million for keeper Tizolah.
Wa Ganyu understands that Kambilinya was not aware that he had been sold to Ekhaya FC and he was against the move but it was difficult for that to be reversed.
When the player realised that Silver Strikers was interested in his services, he asked Tigers that he wants a move to Silver, only to realise that he is sold to Ekhaya FC.
Though willing to join Silver, it was not possible as Tigers had already received money from Ekhaya FC.
Noting that the player wanted Silver, Ekhaya flexed and was willing to receive money from Silver and allow him to join Bankers.
Silver was informed to deposit K17 million into the Ekhaya account. Sources say Silver was hesitant upon looking at the figure.
Silver cannot pay that much, it was above their ceiling but decided to compromise and they later deposited the said transfer fees to have Kambilinya, a defender coach Peter Mgangira wanted the most.
Boom, despite the deposit, The Central Bankers could not get the player. They were informed that the player was sold to Wanderers and that they will be refunded their money.
“We were surprised,” a source reacted. Bankers requested their money back from Ekhaya following the failed deal. The player was later informed that he will join Wanderers.
A conversation was now made between Wanderers and Kambilinya, he accepted and was happy to join Nomads. How did it happen? Nobody knows.
Has Wanderers paid Ekhaya K17 million? Did Ekhaya receive the same amount from Silver? Did Tigers refund Ekhaya? Have Wanderers paid Tigers?
Bottom line, Kambilinya has a new Wanderers salary. For the first time he has seen how a club house looks like. For the first time he has put on a blue jacket an indication that he is ready to make Mighty Mighty Again, komatu awawa inu apwetekana.
