Masters FC coach Peter Mponda has explained why he left Silver Strikers to join FCB Nyasa Big Bullets last year.
Speaking during Wa Ganyu Exclusive, Mponda said some senior officials at Silver Strikers doubted whether the team could succeed under his leadership because of his previous association with Bullets as a player.
He said this influenced his decision to accept Bullets’ offer when the club approached him, even though he had already signed a contract with Silver Strikers.
Mponda also revealed that he left Bullets at the end of last season because there was no good working relationship between him and the club’s administration.
He claimed that Bullets Chief Executive Officer Albert Chigoga blocked his attempts to sign several players, including Masiya Manda, Andrew Joseph and Emmanuel Nyirenda.
