From Mzuzu, Moyale Barracks arrived in Lilongwe on a Tata, announcing a total war when facing Silver Strikers at Silver Stadium, but instead they were demolished leaving the capital city in shame.

A brace from Andrew Joseph, and a goal each from Festus Duwe and Chinsinsi Maonga ensured maximum points for the Central Bankers, who are rapidly building momentum in the 2026 FDH Bank Premiership campaign with a convincing 4–1 victory.

Joseph opened the scoring in the 41st minute before doubling his tally early in the second half in the 52nd minute. Moyale briefly threatened a comeback when Charles Nkhoma pulled one back in the 56th minute, but Silver Strikers responded decisively. Duwe extended the lead in the 68th minute, and Maonga sealed the win.

The result means Silver Strikers have now won back-to-back matches against military sides, having beaten Kamuzu Barracks 2–0 in their opening fixture. They have scored six goals and conceded just once in two matches, underlining both their attacking efficiency and defensive solidity.

Elsewhere, Saturday’s fixtures produced mixed results across various venues. Ekhaya FC and Red Lions played out a 1–1 draw, with Blessings Malinda scoring for Ekhaya and Calisto Kaliwo equalising for Red Lions.

At Chitipa Stadium, Chitipa United secured a narrow 1–0 victory over Blue Eagles thanks to a lone goal from Joseph Mbaga.

Newcomers Luanar Mitundu Baptist FC continued to impress, registering their first win of the season with a 1–0 triumph over Kamuzu Barracks at Dedza Stadium. Emmanuel Chikadza scored from a rebound after his spot kick was stopped by the goalkeeper.

Mitundu FC now sit second on the log table and remain unbeaten after two matches, having drawn 1–1 against Mafco FC in their opening fixture in Mponela. Their early performances suggest they could be one of the surprise packages of the season.
