FCB Nyasa Big Bullets 3-0 Moyale Barracks
Silver Strikers 3-1 Karonga United
FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Silver Strikers claimed vital points in the Super League of Malawi on Wednesday beating Karonga United and Moyale Barracks respectively.
With Bullets’ win, the People Team have dethroned their rivals Mighty Wanderers on top with two points. They lead with 24 points from 9 games while Nomads are second with 22 points in 8 games.
The Lilongwe giant Silver Strikers have also moved to fifth position with 15 points from 8 games.
In Blantyre, Kamuzu Stadium
Bullets scored three beautiful goals past Moyale through Chikumbutso Salima, Sean MacBrams and Chawanangwa Gumbo with man of the match Babatunde Adepoju providing two assists and another assist came from Yamikani Mologeni.
Bullets dominated both halves but they could not score more as Moyale managed to break them in transition while winning second balls just that they were not clinical enough in front as they missed scoring chances in front.
In Lilongwe, Silver Stadium
Karonga United let in 5 goals within the space of 5 days following two defeats to Silver and Bullets.
Oscar Kaunda’s men who were beaten 2-1 by Bullets in the semi finals of the Airtel Top 8 on Sunday at Bingu National Stadium then travelled a short distance to Silver in Area 47 where they got hammered 3-1 in a TNM Super League clash.

The match started with the home side dominating ball possession, operating well in the midfield and making a beautiful exchange of passes.
On 14 minutes, Silver had a chance through Festus Duwe after being set by Chimwemwe Idana, but his shot was saved by goalkeeper Maclean Mwale.
Chinsinsi Maonga broke the deadlock in the 37th minute, utilizing a pass from Emmanuel Allan to put Silver Strikers ahead.
The visitors responded in the 51st minute when Patrick Phiri scored from the penalty spot following a handball incident, the Silver box.
Idana restored the Central Bankers lead a minute after the hour mark with a powerful missile from outside the goal area.
Duwe completed a brace two minutes later, putting the home beyond Karonga United’s reach with the third goal.
Speaking after collecting maximum points at home, Silver Strikers coach Peter Mgangira thanked his players for a wonderful display.
“I think it’s one of the best performances that I have seen the team play this season. The boys came and played good and fluent football,” said Mgangira.
Karonga United coach, Oscar Kaunda admitted that his team struggled on the day.
“The boys didn’t play well today, we had a problem of passes, and we will go to our training and rectify those mistakes,” he Kaunda
