The Central Region Football Association Chipiku Premier Division round of 12 games will kick off this weekend on Saturday, September 28th, 2024.
The twelve teams that finished in top four in their respective groups will battle for the championship as well as promotion to TNM Super League next season.
Blue Eagles FC is looking forward to going back in Malawi’s top league next season, this has been proved during the just ended premier league preliminary round where they managed to collect 34 points in 14 games.
The campaign will start with Mitundu Baptist which will play against Panthers FC at Mbabzi Ground while Extreme FC which was relegated in TNM Super League last season will play against the paratroopers Airborne Rangers at Mchinji Community Ground in Mchinji district.
On Sunday, September 29th, St. Gabriel Zitha will play against Ekas Freight Wanderers at Mchinji Community ground and Villa FC will meet FDH Bank Cup winners Blue Eagles at Aubrey Dimba Stadium at Kapiri in Mchinji.
During the round of 12 draw the association engaged the Anti-Corruption Bureau to help them in fighting corruption in the region.
In the past years, the league has been associated with a lot of match fixing cases hence involving ACB officials this year.
