Yesterday journalists in Kenya released stories of FCB Nyasa Big Bullets defender Clyde Senaji that his contract has been terminated.
But a detail Wa Ganyu has gathered shows that his contract has not been terminated, however, he has requested Bullets to terminate his contract.
We have gathered that Senaji is not happy with what his coach Peter Mponda told the press two weeks ago that the player is not that important to the club. βIs Senaji that important? I donβt think so,β Mponda was quoted by Wa Ganyu.
A source told Wa Ganyu that since Mponda took over from Kalisto Pasuwa, a lot has happened which disappointed Senaji.
βHe was given the armband and within weeks Mponda took it away. But he is a senior player, he never paid much attention to it.
βLater, he was told to play as a left back against Wanderers, mind you, this is not his position. After mistakes, the coach removed him instead of sending him to his position.
βWeeks later, the coach called the press and said a lot of negative words against him that he is not that important and not offering what local players are giving the club. He is a human being and he is tired of that and thinks he cannot play for Bullets under Mponda,β said the source.

The former Vihiga United, Tusker FC and AFC Leopards player signed a two yearβcontract with the Peopleβs Team on January 16, 2024 and he is remaining with months.
Last week he asked management to terminate his contract based on what coach Mponda said against him.Β
βManagement has accepted the move but on condition because the player already collected a bigger part of his signing fees so the move will necessitate other conditions. The player is yet to agree on those terms before his deal is terminated,β the source told Wa Ganyu.Β
On June 16, Wa Ganyu reported that Senaji had reportedly staged a ‘boycott’ evidenced by his absence when his side demolished Mighty Tigers 2-0 in the league. His last appearance was on May 31 during the Blantyre Derby, which saw Bullets lose 1-0 to their rivals Mighty Wanderers. During that match, he was replaced by Frank Willard at 23 minutes in the first half.
Together with Collins Odhiambo Okumu, Senaji arrived in Malawi in February 2023. Okumuβs contract was terminated last year as he failed to impress.Β
