Last week FCB Nyasa Big Bullets announced the signing of striker Dastan Banda from Civil Service United until 2028.
The deal shocked Ten Rocks FC, a parent club for the striker based in Nkhota Kota district, at Ngala Trading Centre.
Ten Rocks owners reached out to Wa Ganyu telling the publication that Civil has failed to owner their agreement.
Background:
In 2021 Banda joined Ten Rocks FC and indeed made those Rocks solid by scoring goals prompting Sable Farming FC to invite him on a loan deal in 2022.
The player then joined FOMO FC also on a loan deal in 2024 and played in the second round.
From there, the player wanted to return home but Civil came through to sign the player, he made a stop in Lilongwe scoring 9 league goals.
Ten Rocks official say, Civil agreed to buy the player in 2025 and he was given a contract.
The two clubs agreed to a K700 000 transfer fee with an agreement of 10 percent if the player is sold to other club.
The official said Civil failed to pay the said transfer fee but after pressing, they were told that the agreed amount was deposited into player’s account.
We were surprised, reacted the official. “Transfer fees were supposed to be sent direct to the club and not the player.”
Now the club says, they are also engaging Civil to give them 10 percent from the Banda deal at Bullets. “Tikawaimbira phone sakutiyankha,” he said.
Wa Ganyu called a Civil official and he reacted: “Chonde musapake Civil matope.” Adding that Ten Rocks should talk to the player over their K700 000 transfer fees. “We paid them, athana okha.”
Asking about the 10 per cent agreement, the official told Wa Ganyu: “We agreed that? Where are the documents? Let them produce documents first.”
Wa Ganyu then called the player and yes he said he received the K700 000 money. Asking why he never deposited the money into Ten Rocks account, Banda said:”Pali matimu atatu amene athandizira kuti ndifike apapa, ndidawagaira. Nawonso a Ten Rocks adatengapo mbali,” he said.
