It is difficult for both FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers to sidestep TP Mazembe’s money but to allow their key members to leave for Lubumbashi. Mwaungulu is the top drawer beating the two in terms of the value;
Wa Ganyu is here to confirm all deals, including the money involved.
The Democratic Republic of Congo side TP Mazembe who visited Malawi last year have reached an agreement with both Bullets and Wanderers on the transfer of Lawrence Chaziya – Nomads’ defender and captain plus two Bullets’ attacking midfielders; Patrick Mwaungulu and Lanjesi Nkhoma.
The deals was finalised last week, agreeing to conditions that no one should break the news till the international break is over.
Following the international break, the players are expected to fly to DRC for medicals and later to seal contracts.
Our source has told us that no team was interested in letting the players go but it was impossible to resist the money dangled.
“Apart from the good money, the players too were interested in playing professional football so they reached an agreement,” he said.
Monetary agreement:
We understands that Mazembe has spent more on Mwaungulu as he is going at around K110 million while Nkhoma has been sold at around K70 million and Chaziya will leave Lali Lubani at around K45 million.
Wanderers CEO Panganeni Ndovi could neither confirm nor deny the news. “What I can tell you now is that Mazembe contacted us in need of the services of Chaziya, we are still talking and we will come back to you once everything is finalised,” he said.
While Bullets’ chief administrative officer Albert Chigoga denied the news.
“It is news to me, let me find out,” he said.
