Done deal

Mighty Mukuru Wanderers have signed former Nyasa Big Bullets defender Miracle Gabeya.

Gabeya was one of the many Bullets players whose contracts had run out.

His switch to Bullets rivals Wanderers comes just a day after he is reported to have turned down a call to extend his contract.

It is said the defender had been protesting that the money that was offered as signing on fees was not enough.

The player has since signed a two year deal with Wanderers and reunited with his former team mate Chiukepo Msowoya who has also joined the blue side of Blantyre.

Wanderers board secretary Humphrey Mvula told Wa Ganyu that the towering defender approached them first as a free agent and expressed his interest to join the Lali Lubani outfit.

“After Gabeya came to us we felt it’s a good deal for us as he still has a lot of value and would be a good addition to our defense which was very weak last year. His experience in the league will definitely make things better for us as a team” said Mvula.

Wanderers have also signed Ntopwa FC winger Joseph Balakasi on a three year deal.
