Blue Eagles have emerged as the biggest climbers of the 2026 FDH Bank Premiership first round while Mighty Wanderers, Ekhaya FC and Karonga United are among teams that have poorly feared compared with the same stage last season.

The Eagles have made the biggest jump, moving from seventh position with 23 points after 15 games in the 2025 first round to first with 31 points after the same number of matches this season.

Moyale Barracks have also made a notable climb moving from 10th to 6th while Chitipa United have moved from 9th to 7th.

At the top, however, Wanderers have slipped from first place last season to third this season. The Nomads had 35 points after 15 games in 2025 but have 29 points this time around, a six point drop.

Silver Strikers have also dropped one place from third to fourth while their points have fallen slightly from 30 to 29.

The biggest fall in position is recorded by Karonga United who have dropped from 5th with 24 points to 13th with 14 points, an eight place fall and a 10 point drop.

Ekhaya FC have also dropped from fourth position with 26 points last season to 11th with 18 points this season.

Kamuzu Barracks have gone from 8th to 15th losing 10 points, while Creck SC have dropped from 11th to 16th also losing eight points.
