Eagles keep flying in Chipiku shops

Omwa tea adzamwanso, so they say. Blue Eagles can afford a smile that they will be back in the TNM Super League next season following their impressive performance in the Chipiku Premier Division league.

The policemen are leading the table of the final round of 12 in the Central Region Football Association Premier Division.

They have 9 points in three games with a gap of two points against Mitundu Baptist who are in second position with seven points in four games.

Panthers FC came in third and have collected six points in four matches, it is only St. Gabriel Medicals Zitha who have played two matches and managed to collect six points.

On Sunday, October 20, Eagles demolished Extreme FC 3-0 at Nankhaka in Lilongwe. Following the defeat, the Mchinji boys who were relegated together with Eagles last year have found their place in second position from the bottom of the table.

The Paratroopers, Airborne Rangers have played the same games with the table leaders but they have won two with one loss and have six points. Villa FC has also six points in four matches, Ekas Freight Wanderers have five points in four games.

Armour Battalion,Wimbe United,Mbadzi United and Extreme FC have managed to collect four points in all four matches they have played in the final round of 12 teams in the league.

The week of the competition produced twelve goals, on Saturday, 19th October 2024, Airborne Rangers lost one nil to Mbabzi United, Chatoloma Admarc lost 3-2 to Mitundu Baptist.

On Sunday, Panthers FC beat Armour Battalion 1 nil, Wimbe United lost 2 nil against Villa FC.
