On Saturday, Blue Eagles striker James Sholigah Stambuli made his name into the history books by becoming the first player to score a brace in the 2025 TNM Super League.
The young striker, who has just been promoted from their reserve side, made an immediate impact on Saturday, April 12 when Blue Eagles thrashed Songwe Border 4-0 at Nankhaka Stadium.
Stambuli’s performance played a key role in securing the club’s first win of the season.
The previous weekend, Stambuli had already signalled his potential by scoring in his debut match, even though his side fell short against Mighty Wanderers at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
With two matches and three goals to his name, Stambuli is quickly proving to be a reliable asset for the law-enforcement side and a player to watch in Malawi’s top-flight football.
