The decision comes after a challenging season that has seen the club struggle to for results in the elite league.

Following a press release issued by the club’s General secretary, Jimmy Maloya, today, FOMO FC appreciated the contributions of Chirwa and Nyoni before firing them.

“We thank them for their service to the club and wish them all the best in their future endeavors,” the statement reads.

FOMO FC also confirmed the appointment former Flames defender Elvis Kafoteka as a caretaker coach.

“We have full confidence in his abilities to lead the team during this transition period,” Maloya stated.

This change comes after Chirwa moved from Premier Bet Dedza Dynamons to FOMO after his one year contract expired at the Malirana side in February this year.

Chirwa replaced Mapopa Kent Msukwa whose contract was not renewed after the team got promoted into the TNM Super League.
