Goals galore: Wanderers, Creck, Civil produce 20 goals punishing northern region teams

There is total silence in the northern region today. It was not meant to be, but, yes, it happened, breaking the hearts of people from the north.

Like an action and yet mystical movie the action was unbelievable and yet factual.

Three northern region based sides Chitipa United, Mzuzu City Hammers and Baka FC who left their bases for central and southern regions are returning home having conceded 20 goals while failing to score even an offside goal.

Perhaps they need to wait for each other and pass Chikangawa Forest together while pressing their hearts hard, and asking themselves what went wrong.

Two teams, Mzuzu City Hammers and Baka FC have loaded their bags with 8 goals each. Mzuzu Hammers were thumped in Blantyre where they lost  8-0 against Mighty Mukuru Wanderers at Kamuzu Stadium.

Wanderers showed no mercy in their revenge following 2-0 defeat in Mzuzu which resulted in Coach Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan quitting.

Baka City on the other hand were in Mchinji at Dimba Stadium where they were forced to dance to Amapiano songs and in the process, concede 8 goals against Creck Sporting Club.

As if that was not enough, another northern region side Chitipa United suffered a 4-0 demolition away against Civil Service United at Civo Stadium.

The trio let in 20 goals in total and will be returning to the northern region with only lessons and gate collections.

Chitipa United coach Christopher Nyambose said they learnt the hard way. “We did not play our best game, but we will go back and do our assignment, we will come back stronger,” he said.

Mzuzu City Hammers coach Kondwani Ikwanga could not understand what happened at Kamuzu Stadium.

“What should I do? Should I go inside and play myself?  He asked journalists who did not answer him.

It was a different story from Baka City coach Kondwani Mwalweni who had nothing to say but ran away from journalists who followed him to understand what went wrong.

Here are results:
