Hassan Kajoke contract with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets expired on March 31, 2023, meaning he became a free agent from April 1st 2023.
Hassan Kajoke signed a contract with Silver Strikers on January 4, 2023. According to his contract, Kajoke had Ken Mvula as his manager. Thokozani Chimbali CEO and George Chiusiwa vice chair- board signed on behalf of Silver Strikers.
On January 12, 2023, Silver Strikers made an announcement that they had signed Hassan Kajoke from Nyasa Big Bullets and three others, namely; Gift Chunga, Emmanuel Kaunda and China Chirwa.
Hours later – same day, Nyasa Big Bullets lodged a complaint to the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) against Silver Strikers Football Club over the signing of Hassan Kajoke.
Bullets claimed that Kajoke had a running contract which was expiring on March 31, 2023.
On January 18, 2023 FAM wrote Silver Strikers following Bullets’ complaint and asking them to respond.
January 20, 2023: Silver Strikers responded to FAM and they wrote… “First and foremost Silver Strikers Limited did not in any way cause and or influence Mr. Hassan Kajoke to terminate his contract with Nyasa Big Bullets as alleged. Silver Strikers Limited believes in professionalism, integrity and the rule of law. In that regard, Silvers Strikers Limited abides by FIFA rules, FAM rules and regulations thereto. In early January 2023 Mr. Hassan Kajoke approached Silver Strikers Football Club for possible engagement from 1st April 2023. Mr Kajoke showed the company his contract with Nyasa Big Bullets which is expiring on 31st March 2023, he further informed the company that he had communicated with the management of Nyasa Big Bullets that he would not renew his contract when it expires.”
“It is our understanding that Mr. Kajoke was free to conclude a contract with Silver Strikers Football Club from 1st April 2023 when his contract expires. We attached affidavits of Hassan Kajoke and His Manager Mr. Mvula to prove Mr Kajoke had already informed Nyasa Big Bullets of his intention not to renew his contract when it expires on 31st March 2023.”

Affidavits for Kajoke in part: “My contract is expiring on March 31, 2023 and as such, I have made communication to team manager James Chilapondwa and coach Kalisto Pasuwa that I will leave Nyasa Big Bullets but they did not respond.
In January I informed Silver Strikers over this….”
Kajoke’s affidavits are dated January 19, 2023 so too his manager Ken Mvula.
Kajoke signed for Silver on January 4th when he had not presented his affidavits and only to do so on January 19, 2023.
March 21, 2023: “FCB Nyasa Big Bullets is delighted to announce that Hassan Kajoke has signed a new contract, which will keep him at the club until May 2026.”
Astonished: “April 28, 2023, Silver Strikers has hired lawyers, G. Nankhuni and Partners to deal with FCB Nyasa Bullets striker Hassan Kajoke. The lawyers have since asked the Football Association of Malawi to expel Kajoke on the ground of theft, fraud, deceit, dishonesty and bringing the game of football in Malawi into disrepute.”
May 4, 2023, Silver Strikers Football Club legal representatives in Hassan Kajoke Case, G Nankhuni and Partners have today submitted documents to Football Association of Malawi (FAM) proving that Hassan Kajoke signed a 3 Years Contract on 4th January, 2023 that expires on 3rd January, 2026.
This was done in response to FAM”s request that Silver Strikers should provide proof on their claims that Kajoke is their player.
The lawyers have sent a copy of contract and proof of payment that Hassan Kajoke was paid MK3 900 000.00 being signing fees and salaries for January, 2023 and February, 2023.
