Blue Eagles and Ekhaya FC are set to face off in a highly anticipated final of the 20 million Kwacha tournament at the Champion Stadium in Mponela, Dowa district.

This will be a big test for the Champions of the Central Region Football Association (CRFA) Chipiku Stores Premier League Champions against Southern Region Football Association (SRFA) Thumbs Up Premier Division winners who are now both gearing for action in the 2025 TNM Super League.

The matchup was confirmed after Blue Eagles triumphed over Mbavi United, winning 1-0 in the semi-finals.

The only goal of the match came in the 6th minute of the first half, from Schumacher Kuwali with Laurent Banda providing the assist.

Speaking after the match, Eagles’ assistant coach, Sankhani Mkandawire expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance and their progress to the final.

He acknowledged that Ekhaya would be a tough opponent, but he remained confident in his team’s ability.

“We’re expecting an exciting game. Ekhaya is a strong side, and it will be tough since we don’t know exactly what to expect from them. However, I believe that if we play to our best potential, we can take home the win,” said Mkandawire.

The much-awaited final will take place on Sunday, 23rd February 2025, at the Champion Stadium. The winner will take home the K6 million Kwacha top prize, while the runner-up will receive K3 million. The third-place team will be awarded K2 million, with the team that will finish fourth pocketing K1 million.
