As their seniors lost 4 goals to nil against Kenya, the Malawi under 20 has managed to pay back by defeating Kenya Under 20 by 3 goals to 1, to clinch the Four Nations Junior Tournament.

The Malawi Under 20 managed to collect all maximum points from all two games played as they beat Zimbabwe 3-2, before beating Kenya by 3 goals to 1.

As per the format of the competition; all the three teams were supposed to face one another.
In a first Kenya match at Silver Stadium, Kenya beat Zimbabwe 3 goals to 1, before registering a lose in an encounter against Malawi.

At the tournament; Zimbabwe was the only team to lose all two games as both Malawi and Kenya managed to collect 3 points above them.

After becoming victors at the tournament, the host Nation-Malawi Under 20 head coach Bob Mpinganjira hailed the boys for their hard work although they didn’t have enough time to prepare for the tournament.

Emmanuel Savieli clinched the golden boot after scoring three from the two games he featured for the junior flames at the tournament.
