Silver Strikers have completed the signing of two exciting prospects from Mponela FC, striker Archangel Mayola and midfielder Howard Kamuona, both on four-year contracts.

Mayola joins the Bankers after an outstanding campaign in the National Bank Under-23 Championship, where he finished as the top goal scorer. His teammate Kamuona was also a standout performer, earning the Player of the Tournament accolade in the same competition.

As part of their contracts, both players have received a signing-on fee of K2 million each. They will earn a monthly salary of K300 000, along with a K30 000 training allowance, in addition to travel and match bonuses per Wa Ganyu findings.

The two players will primarily be integrated into the reserve side as they continue their development and adapt to the club’s philosophy. However, they will be training with the senior team and are expected to feature in cup competitions and friendly matches as they progress.

Silver Strikers have also secured the signing of Kelvin Matandala, who joins the two players recruited from Mponela FC as part of the club’s semi-senior squad.

In addition, the Central Bankers have established a strategic partnership with Lilongwe-based Villa FC, which will see the latter serve as a development pathway by supplying players to the Silver Strikers reserve side.

The agreement has seen three players; Prince Kumwembe, Hadji Dayton and Alufeyo Nyirenda signing for the Bankers and each agreed to a four year deal, becoming the first cohort of players to benefit from the collaboration between the two clubs.
