Moyale Barracks are still searching for their first win at Mzuzu Stadium since returning from Rumphi Stadium, following Sunday’s 1-0 defeat by Silver Strikers in the FDH Bank Premiership.
The Kaning’ina Soldiers have played four home matches at the venue without a win, recording three draws and one defeat.
On Sunday, 18 October 2026, Innocent Shema scored the only goal in the eighth minute, heading in a well-delivered free-kick from Chinsisi Maonga to give Silver Strikers all three points.
Speaking after the match, Moyale head coach Prichard Mwasa admitted that his team had struggled to get positive results at home since returning from Rumphi Stadium.
Mwasa said the team needed to change its attitude and develop a winning mentality, particularly when playing in front of its home supporters.
“As a coach, I take responsibility for changing this mindset. It starts with me, and I will work hard with the players in training and prepare them better for our upcoming matches. We need to turn things around and start getting the results our supporters expect,” he said.
Before Sunday’s defeat, Moyale drew 2-2 with Kamuzu Barracks, shared a 2-2 draw with Master FC, and played out a 1-1 draw with Mighty Wanderers.
The defeat by Silver Strikers means Moyale have now gone four home matches without a win at Mzuzu Stadium since returning from Rumphi.
