NRFC committee fed up with unfair selection process

The Northern Region Football Coaches (NRFC) Committee is fed up with unfair selection process for national football teams.

Despite having talented coaches and players, they are consistently overlooked in favour of those from the Central and Southern Regions.

Its general secretary Kasqaure Nyasulu has decided to take action by penning a strong letter to the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) through office of the technical director Benjamin Kumwenda, detailing the injustices and calling for change.

The letter exposes the unfair practices including the rotation of a small group of coaches from the Southern and Central Regions and the threats made to players to join their affiliated teams.

Nyasulu demands a comprehensive review of the selection process, balanced representation, transparent selection criteria and support for Northern Region talent.

The letter sparks outrage and debate in the football community.

Coaches and players from the Northern Region feel justified, while those from the ‘favoured’ regions begin to question their own involvement in the biased system.
