From K65 million per year to K112 million! That is the new package Betway Malawi will be pumping into 2024 TNM Super League of Malawi Champions Silver Strikers for the next three years.
This is translating to a 71.7 percent hike.
The K335 million deal, spanning three years, cements Betway as the official sponsor of the Central Bankers.
During the sponsorship unveiling, Betway expressed their joy with Silver Strikers’ ‘great performance last season which made them win the TNM Super League Championship’ after 11 years of hit and miss.
Betway Malawi director, Charles Phiri says they expect more from Silver Strikers.
“The first expectation is that they keep playing well and hopefully they defend the championship this season and the next coming three years.”
“But aside from that we just expect the players to keep giving their best and perform at the highest standard as they have did last season,” added Phiri.
Silver strikers board chairperson, Dr. George Kaudzu Masina assured Betway that they will give out their best.
“As a club we are going to strive so that we get the best,” he said.
Ahead of the 2025 TNM Super League season Silver Strikers have already won the NBS Charity Shield, narrowly beating Blantyre based Mighty Wanderers 5-3 on post match penalties after the match ended 2-all in regulation time.
