From winning all trophies last year to an ordinary team, that is the level FCB Nyasa Big Bullets has reached this far.
The defending champions are stuck at fifth position with only four wins in 14 games. They have 20 points with many points coming from draws as the team has registered 8 draws with two defeats.
Today, Bullets gave away a 28 minute strike from Babatunde Adepoju to lose the match 2-1 with a 10th positioned side Karonga United at Karonga Stadium.
Karonga scored their goals Saulos Moyo in the added time of the first half and Blessings Mwalilino scoring a winning goal at 69 minutes.
With the defeat, Bullets have created a 14-point-gap between them and the leaders Silver Strikers who are top with 36 points from the same number of games.
Pasuwa delivering a message to Bullets fans
Speaking after an away defeat, Bullets coach Kalisto Pasuwa said his charges were complacent on how they conceded those two goals.
“We settled well when we got the goal. And we were on top of them, but we went to sleep and they equalised. On the second goal, I thought it was an offside opposition but our boys failed to pick up in their defending third. We made substitutions, but the opposition were hitting high balls,” he said.
Pasuwa said Bullets are passing through difficult times.
“We are in difficult times now where we are not stable, we have been winning, we have lost and too many draws and a defeat today. We need to do more to have results. The confidence in the boys is now going down. It’s our duty as coaches to motivate them so that they can come back to winning ways,” he added.
