Blantyre, Malawi -The stage is set for an interesting match between Creck Sporting Club and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets at Kamuzu Stadium today in the TNM Super League’s second round.

It’s a battle of struggling champions and rookies who are at their peak having managed to get 8 wins from 20 games and are in fourth position. Bullets is in 9th position with only 6 wins in 18 games.

It ended in a 1-1stalemate at Civo Stadium in their first meeting in the first round. Bullets’ coach, Kalisto Pasuwa, acknowledges his team’s struggles but said the league is not over until the final match.

Pasuwa is determined to identify the root causes of their dismal performance, having swept all titles last season. The Zimbabwean tactician also emphasised the importance of fan support, admitting that poor performance has led to decrease attendance of supporters.

“Just imagine we are coming from collecting every trophy and dropping to a worst performance, it’s something that is worrying me but we will keep pushing.

“We don’t need to underrate Creck, we get into the field of play, and we need to play football. We play for supporters but when you see them not coming it means something is wrong somewhere which we need to fix,” he said.

On the opposing side, Macdonald Mtetemera, coach for Creck Sporting Club is expecting a tough encounter.

“It won’t be an easy game, but we believe that this is our starting point whereby we can score goals according to what we have been doing at training, I am very optimistic that this will happen,” said Mtetemera.
