Wa Ganyu
Just days after Civil Service United recorded a massive 2-1 victory over FCB Nyasa Big Bullets in the Super League, the government sponsored side has made some changes to its technical panel. Wa Ganyu can confirm.
Wa Ganyu can confirm that assistant coach Wilson Chidati, a CAF C holder, has been demoted to head their Reserve side, a team now coached by their former player Emmanuel Zoya.
It is not known who will be the head coach between Zoya and Chidati, a former Blue Eagles assistant coach.
On Wednesday, Wa Ganyu saw former Malawi coaches Kinnah Phiri and Young Chimodzi leading coaching sessions for Civil Service United at Civo Stadium.
Phiri was coaching strikers while Chimodzi was coaching defenders with their head coach Abbas Makawa, a CAF A holder, just watching and later in the afternoon, it was Makawa who led training at Civil.
We understand that Phiri and Chimodzi will be with Civil for only 10 days and it is not known as to what will follow after those days. It is also not clear who will deputise Makawa if at all he will continue as head coach.
“Since Wednesday, Kinnah and Yugo are the ones who have been in charge of training sessions,” a source told Wa Ganyu.
Civil is on position 13 with 13 points from 11 games. They are at home this afternoon to well struggling Songwe Border who are without a win in 12 games with only a draw.
